Privacy Policy
Last updated June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how StatTracker AF (“StatTracker AF,” “we,” “us”) handles information when a coach uses the app to track a youth football game and when a parent or guardian follows their player. Because the app is used to record statistics about children, we describe our practices for children’s information in detail in the Children’s Privacy section below.
Who controls the data
StatTracker AF is a tool that coaches and team organizers use to record information about their own teams. The coach or organization that sets up a team decides what information to enter about players and who to share it with. For the player and team information a coach enters, that coach (and their organization or league) is the party responsible for having the appropriate authority and consent to collect it; StatTracker AF processes that information on their behalf to provide the service.
Information we collect
- Account information. Coaches and assistants sign in with an email address. Parents who follow a player sign in with the email their coach placed on the roster. We store these email addresses and basic authentication records.
- Player and team information entered by coaches.A coach may enter a player’s name or nickname, jersey number, position, and — where a league uses weight limits — a weigh-in weight, along with the plays and statistics recorded during a game. Some of this describes minors.
- Parent/guardian links. To let a parent follow a player, a coach enters the parent’s email and links it to that player.
- Communications preferences. Whether a parent has opted in to final-score emails.
- Technical information. Standard server logs and, for the offline-capable parts of the app, data stored locally on your own device so the app keeps working without a signal. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use information
- To provide the stat-tracking service and show live and final game results.
- To authenticate users and keep team data private to the team.
- To send a final-score email to a parent who has opted in.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the information coaches enter about players to serve advertising.
How information is shared
- Within a team. Player and game information is visible to the coaches and assistants on that team, and to a linked parent for their own player.
- Shareable game pages. A coach can share a game link (a
/watchpage) so friends and family can follow along without an account. A coach who shares such a link is choosing to make that game’s scoreboard and play-by-play viewable by anyone who has the link. - Service providers. We use a hosting provider, a database provider, and (when enabled) an email-delivery provider to run the service. They process data only to provide their service to us.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Children’s Privacy (including COPPA)
The app is intended to be operated by adults — coaches, team organizers, and parents — not by children. Coaches use it to record statistics about youth players, which can include a child’s name, jersey number, position, weigh-in weight, and game statistics.
We do not knowingly let children under 13 create accounts or use the app directly. A coach or organization that records a child’s information is responsible for providing any notice to, and obtaining any consent from, that child’s parent or legal guardian that applicable law (such as the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, “COPPA”) requires. When a parent links to a player through the join flow, we ask the parent to confirm they are the player’s parent or legal guardian and agree to this policy.
A parent or guardian may review the information associated with their child, ask that it be corrected, withdraw consent, and ask that it be deleted — see Your choices and rights. To make any of these requests, contact your child’s coach or email us at support@stattracker-af.app. If we learn we have collected information from a child in a way that does not meet applicable requirements, we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep team and game information for as long as the team exists so coaches and parents can review past seasons. A coach can delete a team at any time, which permanently removes its seasons, games, plays, players, parent links, and related records. We may retain limited records as needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Your choices and rights
- Access and export.A coach can export a team’s data from the Team page.
- Deletion.A coach can delete a team and all of its data from the Team page. Parents can ask their coach, or email us, to remove their player’s information.
- Email preferences. A parent can turn final-score emails on or off from their home page, and every email includes how to manage it.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Contact us to exercise them.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including per-team access controls and encrypted connections, to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to the team it belongs to.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take additional steps where required by law.
